On June 15, 2023, Mr. Chirut Wisanjit, Director-General of the Department of Land Transport Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport for Administration and the Port Authority of Thailand Board. Along with representatives of the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transport, Marine Department and representatives of the Port Authority of Thailand (Mr. Jyriwit Klompheri, Deputy Director of Organizational Strategy), met Mr. Jyri J\u00e4rviaho, Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Thailand. and discussed via videoconferencing with Ms. Minna Kivim\u00e4ki, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Finland. On the occasion of Finland’s nomination of Ms. Minna Kivim\u00e4ki as a candidate for the position of Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization. The new International Maritime Organization (IMO) will have a term of office of 4 years from 1 January 2024 – 31 December 2027. In this regard, Ambassador Mr. Jyri J\u00e4rviaho presented the Note Verbal document and asked for support from Thailand. and Ms. Minna Kivim\u00e4ki expressed her vision for being IMO Secretary-General to the Thai side. By the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport Thank you and congratulate Finland for nominating an experienced and qualified female candidate for the position of Head of the IMO Secretariat at the Ministry of Transport.<\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n\n\n\n
